
Sautéed Greek Style Shrimp-Appetizer
Take a trip to Greece with this simple, yet gourmet, shrimp appetizer recipe. An Olive Tap Recipe Contest 1st Place Winner!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Uncooked Shrimp (shelled and deveined)
- 1/2-1 T. The Olive Tap’s Greek Seasoning
- 2 T. Preserved Lemons (chopped)
- 1 T. Mint (chopped)
- 1 T. Italian Parsley
- 2 T. The Olive Tap’s Koroneiki 100% EVOO
- 2 Garlic Cloves (minced)
- 1 t. Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 T .Butter
- Salt (to taste)
Directions:
Combine shrimp, seasoning, preserved lemon, mint and parsley in a small mixing bowl. Mix. Add olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes to a large, medium-high heated skillet and sauté for 30 seconds or so. Toss in shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add butter and continue to sauté for an additional minute or until shrimp turns pink and begins to curl. Be sure to not overcook!
