Egg in a Hole
Classic egg in a hole with fresh, sautéed sweet peppers on top!
- The Olive Tap’s 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil (your favorite)
- Red Bell pepper
- Crusty Italian-style bread
- Fresh eggs
Sauté sliced pepper in the Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Remove from heat and set aside.
Add more oil to pan, if needed.
Make a 1-inch hole in a thick slice of bread.
Place bread in hot oil. Toast one side until light golden-brown.
Carefully break egg into hole in bread.
When egg starts to set, carefully turn egg and bread. The egg should stick to the bread and turn with the bread.
Cook egg to desired doneness.
Serve topped with sautéed pepper.
